Corso Orazio Raimondo

Corso Orazio Raimondo, alongside Corso Nino Bixio, constitutes an important coastal road axis that runs alongside the Riviera dei Fiori cycling path, in the city centre of Sanremo. The road, the parking strip, and the bike path were only partially shaded by a discontinuous row of plane trees with insufficient space for growth.
The project is part of the actions planned by the “Sanremoverde” Territorial Strategy (POR FESR 2021-2027) aimed at responding to climate change and strengthening urban biodiversity. The transformation involved redeveloping the area through the replacement of paving with new permeable surfaces, a new management of rainwater, and the introduction of a continuous tree-lined avenue along the entire road, with more space for tree growth and a richer, more varied vegetation to enhance usability for citizens.
