The name Pocket Campus comes from the fusion of two different types of open space that inspired the project: the pocket park, referring to small urban gardens which were not planned in the original project, but were introduced subsequently and resulted in the creation of small valuable corners, and the typical university campuses and the most cutting-edge workplaces in contemporary cities.

The scheme aims to transform a stretch of gravel, previously used as a car park, into a completely renovated, functional, lively and high-quality space, wrapped and protected by the buildings that surround it; a long, green haven that stands by a rediscovered stone square in open dialogue with the historic Palazzo Bernini; a smart, eclectic space, set apart by a wooden divider, that offers a variety of opportunities for employees and guests to live, work and play in the open air.
