Milano4You is the first smart district in Italy designed with energy efficiency in mind. The area, covering approximately 300,000 square metres, will host residences, offices, and shops, spaces for sports and cultural activities, and above all a large area dedicated to green spaces. The design of the area is the result of collaboration between MAB arquitectura and AG&P greenscape, who developed the landscape project. The design of Milano4You’s open spaces is structured as a system combining urban, suburban, and rural landscapes in a synergistic place formed along the axis of a large pedestrian and cycle promenade that runs through the entire area from south to north, with three large squares connecting it closely to the residential and services fabric. The landscape of the new neighborhood is designed as a continuation of the Cascine Park and its main access from the Segrate side, proposing a gradient of naturalness that rejects a clear-cut city/countryside separation in favor of an idea of a pervasive landscape that offers a more sustainable urban development model.
